Collingham Computer Café has now been running successfully for over 18 months.

It is aimed at people of all ages and experience who want support as they make greater use of their own laptops and tablets and more than 100 people have made use of the facilities since the Café opened its doors in January 2017.

Each session starts with a short presentation on an aspect of use eg: emails, shopping, photography etc. This is followed by an opportunity to share ideas and seek individual support from a knowledgeable ‘Computer Volunteer’.

A light lunch is available -  home-made soup, baked potato, salad, homemade cakes etc. A charge of £2 is made to cover running costs. Food charged as eaten and free coffee and tea is available throughout each session.

We hope you will grab your laptop or tablet and drop in for all, or part, of the session and learn how to make your computer do more for you.

The Café takes place on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month (except 21st Aug & 4th Sept as the Memorial Hall is being refurbished).

Numbers are restricted to ensure everyone gets the individual help that they need.  We will use an interactive, on-line course which will enable learning to continue at home between Café sessions. To book a place, please phone Diana on 573635 or Jill on 574098.

If the first course is fully booked another course will start when the first course has ended.

LUNCH, 12 noon - 12.45pm

Lunch from 12 noon - 12.45pm is open to everyone, with or without computer/phone interest, and will be served in the New Supper Room.

COMPUTING FOR ALL, 12.45 - 1.30pm

‘Computing for All’ from 12.45 - 1.30pm is a drop-in session for anyone with queries about use and functions of their device.  Advice about Android, Apple and Mac are all available but if you have a very specific question you may need to be directed to a volunteer with specific knowledge.  If so please email Diana.
